Acacia has a network of highly qualified, registered professionals across Australia, New Zealand and internationally. We will arrange assistance for you in a convenient location close to where you live / work. Phone, Video and Live Chat are available options also.
Acacia's network includes Psychologists, Social Workers, Counsellors, Financial Coaches, Dieticians and Legal Consultants. All professionals have a minimum of 5-years' experience in their field and are registered with their regulatory body.
EAP sessions are typically structured, short-term, solution focussed interventions. If you require further support or longer-term interventions, your EAP practitioner may refer you to an external agency or service, a GP (general practitioner) for ongoing support, or arrange for you to continue your sessions in a private capacity.
All information you disclose to an EAP practitioner is confidential. All EAP practitioners are independent of the University and are focused on supporting your health and well-being.
EAP appointments can be made by calling the appropriate EAP provider or online. Appointments can be made face-to-face at a time and location that's convenient to you. Counselling services are also available via telephone and online.
Acacia offers an online wellbeing portal where staff can access additional wellbeing materials. This is an online library of resources, including tip sheets and articles on different mental health and wellbeing topics, video resources, as well as recordings of wellbeing webinars. This is available to all employees, and you can download the content to share with your loved ones!
