The ‘Credit, Where Credit’s Due’ Project team has been awarded the 2021 Vice-Chancellor’s Medal for Excellence in recognition of their work to develop a ground-breaking framework to map military training to tertiary credits.
ACU is the first Australian university to offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to veterans. The work of this team will not only benefit veterans who choose to study ACU, but also students at other universities with whom we have shared the credit mapping framework. Team members Mr Eduardo Almeida, Mr Aaron Cornwall, Associate Professor Wendy James, Mr Nik Linnell and Ms Liz Moon have also received a Vice-Chancellor’s Staff Excellence Award for Mission Excellence.
During the virtual ceremony, ACU Vice-Chancellor’s Staff Excellence Awards were presented to staff across six categories: Mission Excellence, Service Excellence, Spirit of Reconciliation, Excellence in Student Experience, Excellence in Community Engagement, and Excellence in Research and Research Partnership.
